Jello Cloud Parfaits

Jello Cloud Parfaits, a simple and fun snack! A great themed snack to go along with a preschool weather unit!

I've seen these Jello Cloud Parfaits floating around Pinterest for a while. They looked like the perfect snack to accompany a preschool cloud theme (which we haven't done yet, but I wanted to test these out before I got to planning one) :-) I was pleasantly surprised at how simple they were to make! No Pinterest fails here! This step-by-step photo tutorial should make it easy for you to whip some up as well!

Supplies:
  • Blue Jello
  • Water/ice
  • Clear (plastic) cups
  •  Large measuring cup
  • Cool Whip
(I followed the speed-set method for making my Jello, so that is what you'll see here). I poured 1.5 cups of boiling water in a large measuring cup. Then I mixed the Jello packet into the boiling water making sure the solution was thoroughly mixed it so all the powder was dissolved.

My son had been sitting there begging to help, so I let him in on this step. He added a cup of ice cubes along with a cup of cold water to the blue jello solution and stirred for about a minute. We removed the unmelted ice and let the Jello set in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Once the Jello was set (slightly firm, but liquidy enough to pour), I removed it from the fridge and prepared our cups. This was the fun part!

I alternated plopping in a couple scoops of cool whip and pouring in the Jello. There's really no way to make a mistake here! After I filled the cups, I let them set in the fridge for another 10 minutes or so, then we dug in!
