Ikea hack: Tolsby frames in the classroom and homeschool

I love Ikea. They are affordable and just plain wonderful. And while the decor seems very modern, everything is surprisingly versatile for different styles! As a matter of fact, they are versatile for pretty much everything. That's why Ikea hacks are so popular! It's like the items are begging to be customized to fit your needs! Starting with the humble Tolsby frame.

The 4x8 plastic frame is only 99 cents (why can't the dollar stores make things like this?!?) That's a good enough price to pick up a few of them and include some of these Ikea hacks into your classroom or homeschool!

This looks like a simple project to make with  young kids!

4. Make a countdown calender

This site made really cute free printables for a birthday countdown, but feel free to make your own for field trips, vacations, etc.!

5. Center Directions for the classroom

When kids work at independent centers, they can still use some direction! These little frames are perfect for spelling out what needs to be done.

How else would you use the Tolsby Frame? How many are you going to buy on your next Ikea trip? ;-)
